Having successfully completed a project to catalog the library digitization master of North-Western Academy of Public Administration (SZAGS), the largest in the North-West Russia university to train state and municipal employees.
Library SZAGS, whose main profile - social sciences, economics, law, sociology and history, is one of the largest in St. Petersburg. Because the academy has 13 branches across the North-West Russia, is obvious need to organize Internet access to bibliographic databases.
Work to convert the paper catalog libraries in the electronic kind have been divided into several stages - scanning files and delivery of software with subsequent data entry and indexing. The main criterion in selecting companies for the project was best value for money and quality in a relatively short time.
As a result of the 2007 and 2008. respective tenders, executing all the works had been chosen company ALEE SOFTWARE, one of the greatest players in the development and implementation of hardware and software systems of electronic archives, as well as streaming scanning and input into the system of large volumes of paper documents.
As the management of electronic repositories of documents was introduced ALEE Archive 3, the use of Web technologies that web 2.0 and Ajax allows easy access to electronic catalog via the Internet (tentatively expected to be operational during September).
